A drop of know-how.
ABV means alcohol by volume. Enter the strength on your bottle and the strength you want in your glass. Add water, stir gently, and enjoy at your own pace.
How is this calculated?
Water (ml) = whisky volume × (starting ABV ÷ target ABV − 1). This is a practical estimate assuming volumes add directly; alcohol and water can contract slightly when mixed. Ice melt is not included.
Millilitres first. Drops are approximate.
Drop size varies with your dropper. We use 20 drops per ml by default. For a more accurate pour, measure water in millilitres.
Adjust your dropper
Use your measured dropper rate. This only changes the drop estimate.
